Welcome to the Association of Cross Country Adventurers, a group of adventure seekers that love traveling the country in our RVs and campers. Founded by a group of friends in Central Ohio, we now have a network of members nationwide who share our passion for exploring the great outdoors in their RVs. While most of the original members were retirees, the RV movement has picked up momentum with younger generations, and increasingly we have young couples and families joining us on the road.
There is a lot to see in this beautiful country, and we think that driving through it is one of the best ways to take it all in. People miss so much from 40,000 feet – the opportunity to stop at road side farm stands for local produce, the ability to pull over for a better view, and the spontaneity of finding unexpectedly good food. When you finally arrive at your final destination, nothing really beats the feeling of propping up your feet by a campfire at the end of a long drive and breathing in the fresh air of our country’s best campgrounds and parks. RVs get you close to nature without having to give up the creature comforts of home. You have a place to comfortably sleep and eat, but you also have boundless opportunity to see new things and meet new people. Pull into any RV campsite and you have an instant community of fellow travelers to connect with. We have a special bond that comes with knowing what an amazing opportunity having a home on the road affords us. The best evenings are spent crowded around the fire with new friends and old, sipping wine and swapping stories about the places we’ve been.
We bring those fireside experiences to you in this blog as we share where we’ve been, where we’re headed, and what life is really like lived on the open road. If you similarly share our passion for RVing, we hope that you’ll contribute some of your own insights and experiences to share with others. Let’s hit the road!
